Norfolk Development XI suffered their second successive defeat of the season at Manor Park yesterday. Set to score 155 in a match reduced to 40 overs a side, Norfolk's batting struggled to cope with the conditions - and the visitor's attack. Only the contribution of Simon Chipperfield, last out for 50 which included one towering six, took the home side beyond 100. Earlier the Norfolk bowlers had seemed in command, with Matthew Reid returning 4 for 31.
