Suffolk won by32 runs.
Suffolk celebrated their 100th season in the M.C.C.A. Championship
with victory over old rivals Norfolk at Woodbridge School
yesterday.
Despite far from ideal weather conditions, the match was played
out as a regular string of well remembered names took to the
field. From a Norfolk point of view, Eddie Hodson contributed
43 runs having taken 3 for 51 when Norfolk were in the field.
There were also runs for Robin Huggins (40) and Steve Rowe
(26), who had also picked up one wicket from his five overs.
However, it was not a day for individual performances, but
to reminisce about the many Norfolk & Suffolk encounters from
days gone by.
